There’s a transcript of last night’s appearance on the Abrams Report.
You have to imagine me in a suit talking. Or, if you want, I can call you up and read you the transcript. For an additional fee, I’ll wear the suit and come by your home or place of business and perform my lines for you.
Bad news from the minors: Both Rett Johnson and Chris Snelling left last night’s Rainiers game with injuries. Johnson left after three innings with a sore right shoulder (uh-oh) and Snelling left after his first at-bat, in which he apparently injured his knee while running out a grounder. Not good.
In happier news, King Felix rolls on. His line from Everett last night: 6 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 10 K.
For those of you who didn’t get to hear my amusing rantings on the radio, I’m going to be on MSNBC tonight on the Abrams Report at 6pm Seattle time, 9pm Eastern. It’s my first TV appearance. I will likely be much more restrained than my radio appearances.
Freddy finally got a win, even though he didn’t pitch well. Anytime we can come out with a W in a Garcia-Halladay matchup, though, I’ll count my blessings.
I’m sure Ichiro’s throw was impressive and all, but let’s be clear; he does not have the best arm in baseball. Go watch Vladimir Guerrero airmail throws from the warning track to the plate on the fly.
Kent Mercker was picked up for a PTBNL yesterday. The M’s have officially chosen to go into the playoffs with Arthur Rhodes as the only lefty in the pen. Hopefully, that decision doesn’t come back to haunt them.
What a day.
Folks, if you didn’t see it, that was one heck of a throw Ichiro just made to nail Reed Johnson. Not because it got there so fast (it did), but because of how accurate it was. McLemore, covering 3B, basically put his glove on the ground just in front of the bag and the ball hit it on the fly. Niiiiice.
Oh, and Derek’s KJR appearance was so good, I’m giving it my full endorsement.
And Soriano’s dealin’.
Folks, Derek is being modest. His interview with TSN Radio was awesome. I might add the “bus full of nuns” comment to my daily vocabulary. If you didn’t hear it, you missed out. I suggest anyone with any ability to get Derek on the radio do so regularly, and then send him large amounts of cash.
Just got off Sporting News Radio. That was cool.
This game would be tied if Ichiro had an extra two, three feet of vertical leap. And perfect timing.
Well, I know I’ll be listening. For those of you outside KJR’s broadcast range, here’s a link to their live feed. Go Derek go!
I’m scheduled to go on KJR 950 @ ~5:30, for those of you in the Puget Sound who want to hear me rant on the wireless.
