All hail the new Big Board.
And oh, the moves! Ben Davis and Pat Borders make the Seattle-Tacoma swap. Aaron Looper is on Tacoma’s DL, so San Antonio closer Jared Hoerman (say “Her-man”) is up to take his spot. Also new to Tacoma is outfielder Michael Nesbit, a 2002 draftee who has had his career slowed by Tommy John surgery. With IE 66ers 2B Ismael Castro out for the year, the team has added infielder Jesus Guzman to the roster. And finally, 2B Evel Bastida-Martinez, who appeared in a dozen games for San Antonio while Rob Gandolfo was hurt, is back in Wisconsin.
I feel compelled to point out how good Inland Empire’s starting rotation has been this season. The top four of Bobby Livingston, Felix Hernandez, T.A. Fulmer and Rich Dorman have combined to do the following:
W-L ERA G GS IP H AB AVG HR BB SO
Livingston 4-0 1.31 6 6 41.1 25 141 .177 2 6 30
Hernandez 3-1 2.56 6 5 31.2 25 111 .225 2 9 41
Fulmer 2-1 2.12 5 5 29.2 19 109 .174 1 8 28
Dorman 2-1 2.81 5 5 25.2 24 96 .250 0 10 22
-------------------------------------------------------------
TOTALS 11-3 2.10 22 21 128.1 93 457 .203 5 33 121
That’s one heck of a pitching prospect.
