Yankee Stadium

You know, all it would take is — just once — for an umpiring crew to have the balls to award the visiting team a win when the pathetic fans at pathetic Yankee Stadium decide to make themselves part of the game by throwing crap on the field. I mean, if there aren’t ever going to be consequences, why shouldn’t they throw baseballs, batteries and trash on the playing field?

Go Red Sox.

Regarding mystery or no mystery… yeah yeah, bullpen choices, whatever. But Lowe
looked approximately as exhausted as an extremely non-exhausted thing.

If the Astros win tonight, they might very well be the favorite to keep Beltran.

Man, first Payton and the Lakers and now Pay-Rod and the Yankees. Could it get any better? Hope the Sox win it all and I hope Steinbrenner is throwing a week-long temper tantrum as we speak.

    99,

Yes they can, if they wanted to. Steinbrenner will do whatever it takes to win the WS. If that means a billion dollar payroll, so be it.

The only reason I can see the Yanks not signing Beltran is because there’s no place to play him. However, that didn’t stop them from stockpiling 1B/OF/DH types in the 80’s

Beltran doesn’t fill the Yankees’s worst holes, though. They need pitching, and their system is bare. Even seeing through the blood-mist clouding his vision, Steinbrenner should be able to see that the money is better spent on pitching. It’s Clement that’s now a foregone signing.

    Now whose fans are pathetic?

95 ALDS was the best ever
04 ALCS was the best ever
