BP signing w/ Derek and Jonah
Come pester Jonah Keri with questions about Baseball Prospectus and this year’s book! Because the chapters aren’t bylined, for all you know he wrote it! So ask him really detailed, wonky questions about the team and the front office!
In all seriousness, Jonah’s a fine fellow, and I highly recommend him. I’ll be there, probably heckling and asking him really detailed, wonky questions about the team and the front office. See if you can spot me. I’m sure it’ll be reaaaaaaaaaaaaally difficult.

Everyone’s favorite hyperactive Quebecois will also be on the television, he’s supposed to go on KOMO Friday about 11 AM.

Does this make him the Official Endorsed Quebecois Sabremetrician of the USS Mariner(tm)?
Just slip him some cheese curds, gravy and a bottle of Molson Ex and he’ll be your best friend for life
That address seems wrong. Anything on Bothell Way in Lake Forest Park should be five digits.
Mmmm…poutine.
I’ll also accept apartment hunting/Seattle life tips, given I’ll be moving to SEA in June. I see myself as more of an Alvin Davis M’s fan than a Richie Sexson one, but we’ll see what happens.
Seriously, come on down. Derek’s likely to take over the room at some point, and he’s an awesome storyteller if you’ve never seen him live and in person. Hope to see all of you and your extended families there.
Oops, djw is right, address is:

bienvienu! personally, I think it depends on if you have a car and just how much you want to commute… there are many many many sprawling apartment complexes around the outskirts of Seattle that are falling over each other to offer first month free or free storage or something else to get you to fill a vacancy … in town, you are more likely to have to beg them to let you pay first/last months rent on their fine abode.
Jonah, I can’t be there, as much as I would like to (and that’s where I bought my BP 2005), but I’ll leave you with this:
Je me souviens.
I can’t make it either, but as a non-recovering bookaholic, I’d have to say that Third Place Books is one of the finest bookstores in the greater Seattle area. You kids have fun now!
Well, damn. My baseball reading queue is already huge (and growing since I finished “Baseball: The Writers’ Game”, but that’s another story), but this might be a good enough excuse to go up to Third Place and scour their used books and heckle you guys… or at least make some joke about there not being a “Last Place Books” to discuss the Mariners at.
BTW, for anyone who hasn’t been there before, it’s pretty possible to miss it from the road if you’re not paying attention, since there’s this gigantic parking lot in front of it if you’re on Bothell Way. (I drove past it the first time I tried to go there.) Just make sure you get into the huge shopping center that’s on Bothell Way just west of Ballinger Way – there’s some signs for Shoreline Community College and whatnot in there as well.
(Whee, they have the event listed with “Jonah Kerry” on their website. I guess it’s a good thing they didn’t have to try to spell Zumsteg.)
If BP2005 is any guide, the difficult part of DMZ’s name to spell is “Derik”.
Bothell, not “Bothwell”. But they’re bothgood. Or should I say bothwell.
I’ll see if I can bring a couple T-shirts to give out too–maybe the winner can be the person who comes up with best explanation for Youppi!’s origins, a game I frequently played with friends in my youth.
