Hargrove better not screw this one up. This pitchcount thing is really beginning to irk me. I am pumped for tonight's game and to think next week we might have an Felix-RJ matchup at Safeco. The Mariner massive has got to show up in numbers and cheer on Felix and heckle the big tater-serving Johnson.

Interesting. And at the bottom of the article, I learned that USS Mariner is an "authoritative blog," whatever that means.

I have to say that talk of Felix as ROY makes me nervous, especially given Hargrove's recent comments. How can we be so sensitive about "Doyle" and not worry that the Mariners will mis-manage one of the best pitchers they've had since Randy Johnson?

BTW, it's great to see our Blogmeisters increasingly getting into print. I went to the AquaSox game last night, open the program and find... several excellent articles by Derek and David. I spent so much time reading the pieces that I missed several key plays during the game. By "key" I don't necessary mean "good"; this is "A" ball after all :)

Did the P-I run the column a day late to time it with Felix's start, or have they changed their schedule for it?

I still want to give RoY to Gustavo Chacin. He leads all rookies in VORP.

speaking of 'the cat'-- the Yankees have one Felix Escalona, an infielder that the NY papers have taken to calling Felix the Cat... weirdly, it turns out that the 1922 Yanks adopted the original Felix cartoon cat as their team mascot...
