(To be fair, Joe Torre usually does pitch Rivera in tie games.) I was jumping up and down wishing he would bring in someone that can draw a walk and handle the bat (i.e. Petagine) who would give us a much better chance at bringing in a run and, better yet, leading to a big inning. Willie was available to cover short for the last few innings. It seems to me that the difference in D between Willie and Betancourt for 3 innings is not as great in the difference between Petagine and Betancourt in ability to draw a walk or hit the ball well for that critical at bat.
