KUOW radio appearance Monday, 9-10ish
If you’re interested in hearing local radio history, BP’er (and general friend o’USSM) Jonah Keri and me, former BP’er (and general ne’er do well) will be on KUOW’s Weekday tomorrow morning, talking about the Mariners, baseball in general and, if past history is any indication, cracking each other up and going on random digressions about the Transformers and the Simpsons. There may be other guests, but last I heard we were the only confirmed ones.
94.9 on your dial, or KUOW has some nice streaming audio options for your enjoyment.

Excellent Derek.
I look forward to it. There’s only so much Steve Sher I can take but you will make it so much better I am sure.
The KUOW site now says that Larry Stone will be part of the segment, too:

What a treat on a Monday morning! Listening to you guys right now. Great job.
The audio stream is a little weird for me, but I’m listening now.
I can’t believe you just said “non-sexual man crush” on the air.
Derek, I hope you aren’t going to get KUOW in trouble with the FCC for mentioning your non-sexual man crush on Johjima …
Darn, Deanna beat me to it.
Which one of you guys just admitted that you have a non-sexual man crush on Johjima? I love it!! And I know that must have been DMZ to throw in the “refuse to abuse”/Carl Everett comment. I love you guys!!!!
Oops – you both beat me to it – how funny.
and you have to admire how Jonah managed to elegantly slide in those subtle plugs for the book 🙂
Derek, does your wife know about your man-crushes?
And that caller had to be Bob Finnigan. I swear it was him…
oh, and it was Marcie Sillman, a long-time baseball fan (as she mentioned, she comes from Detroit so she may well have a nice year ahead of her) hosting, so we didn’t have to go back and belabor the stadium issues or spend all the time on steroids….
I liked the plug where I tossed him the softball transition and he wholloped that bad boy over the fence. That’s teamwork, folks.
pretty good day– Jason Churchill is doing his KJR spot right at the moment…
btw, was there a bet going on the introduction of the Simpsons to the conversation?
Just wondering, do you think we could download some sort of the broadcast or get transcripts of it. I don’t know how long or intense it would be but I can’t listen to it live.
