Sunset Supper

If anyone’s going to be at Sunset Supper at Pike Place Market tonight (Friday), look for me — I’ll be working at the Canlis booth. We’ll be serving Dungeness Crab and Heirloom Tomato Salad with Feta and Cerignola Olives. If you’re not familiar with Sunset Supper, here’s more info. It’s a bit pricy to get in ($85), but there are a ton of great restaurants as well as wineries and breweries all serving up tasty tidbits. There’s also live music. You can find the full list of restaurants, etc., as well as their menus, by following the link.
Man, heirloom tomatoes just scare the crap out of me.
That looks awesome, too bad I can’t make it. Is that an anuual event? Never even heard of it…
You work at Canlis, then? I went to seminary with a member of that family — always been curious since to try the place.
Not too shabby a little greasy spoon in my limited experience. Wish I could come along.
oooh, wierd, I was just thinking about that heirloom tomato salad as we are going to go hang out in the bar this weekend, and I’d been ogling the menu online….
Did you go to seminary with Matt?
I had never heard of it either, but apparently this is the 11th one. Who knew?
And msb, the heirloom tomato salad is definitely worth getting.
I did indeed. (It’s a small school, but has had some high-profile faculty.) Weirdly enough, I also went to college with his sister-in-law — and then Matt and Julie spent a year out there. Lots of connections. How are they doing, do you know? (I haven’t talked with them in quite a while.)
hmm, heirloom tomato salad followed by dessert … what to choose, what to choose…
For dessert I suggest the strawberry shortcake. The basil-infused white chocolate will freak you out, man.
well, I did see that but really, what is the point of white chocolate 🙂 I’m wavering between the souffle and the berries & cream, having done the sundae last time …
