Eaton vs The King.

Gut feeling, but I think we’re going to see Good Felix today.

Isn’t that at least three sacrifice attempts by Snelling in the last two games? What a waste.

  2. IdahoInvader on September 10th, 2006 3:27 pm

It would be nice if SOMEONE could get more than one base on a hit today. I guess he wants Snelling to bunt his way out of his slump…sigh

  3. diggerbarnes on September 10th, 2006 3:29 pm

Nice inning Grover, managed his way to three outs

  4. apunetid on September 10th, 2006 3:30 pm

Remember when relief pitchers were able to throw more than one inning?

  5. IdahoInvader on September 10th, 2006 3:31 pm

    54

Ironically it was about the time that starters could go past six and no one was surprised

  6. apunetid on September 10th, 2006 3:35 pm

Too bad we won’t be seeing Putz in this game, since there won’t be any save opportunities.

  7. IdahoInvader on September 10th, 2006 3:38 pm

Huber pitches up in the zone too much. Sorta reminds me of Brian Sikorski of Cleveland. Hopefully this doesn’t get ugly. Young always kills us, so I’m not particularly hopeful.

  8. IdahoInvader on September 10th, 2006 3:38 pm

Rivera’s horrific bat is now being matched by his glove.

  9. JI on September 10th, 2006 3:39 pm

    Rene Rivera, Major League Catcher.

  10. IdahoInvader on September 10th, 2006 3:41 pm

Glad we had the infield on that curve down the middle with two strikes…sigh

  11. IdahoInvader on September 10th, 2006 3:42 pm

    infield IN…

Every decision Grover makes today (and most days) doesn’t work.

  12. IdahoInvader on September 10th, 2006 3:43 pm

M’s let Rangers score another just to get out of the inning

    Game over

  13. G-Man on September 10th, 2006 3:43 pm

He has to go home or flip it to second to try for the force DP.

  14. apunetid on September 10th, 2006 3:45 pm

Gameday can’t figure out what happened. Anybody want to fill me in?

  15. Josh on September 10th, 2006 3:47 pm

Rivera sucks. Our defensive rundowns suck. At least our defensive rundowns only hold back our defense, though.

  16. Bender on September 10th, 2006 3:47 pm

Doesn’t bringing the infield in raise the opposing batting average buy something like 100 points?

  17. vaughn leland on September 10th, 2006 3:48 pm

4-3-6 DP, NOT A FORCE ON FINAL OUT, RUN SCORED Before final out

  18. DKJ on September 10th, 2006 3:49 pm

It was the same play you saw in the highlights for the Florida no-hitter. Grounder to the second baseman, the runner eludes his tag, ball to first for the force, run-down to get the man advancing to second. Differnce being that the man on third had time to score. In Florida, there was no man at third, among other differences.

  19. IdahoInvader on September 10th, 2006 3:51 pm

Part of our many offensive issues is having three X-base hits the last 22 innings.

Now would sure be a nice time for one.

Also, when was the last Lopez homer?

  20. DKJ on September 10th, 2006 3:52 pm

    Ugly swings.

  21. Emerald on September 10th, 2006 3:52 pm

    Last May? lol

  22. Bender on September 10th, 2006 3:52 pm

Not with a bang, with a whimper.

  23. G-Man on September 10th, 2006 3:52 pm

Why Jones there? They might have used a PR for Richie, but they should have saved Jones to pinch run for the tying runner.

Why no longer matters as the DP goes down.

  24. IdahoInvader on September 10th, 2006 3:52 pm

    Brutal offense…just brutal

  25. Emerald on September 10th, 2006 3:52 pm

I think the book on Jose now is away, away, away, away, and away.

  26. Ed Tsantamount on September 10th, 2006 3:53 pm

You know what they say. You can’t win every game.

  27. IdahoInvader on September 10th, 2006 3:59 pm

    76

But its not like our typical “singles, no walks and multiple base running error” type of game is a rare occurence.

How many dp’s did we hit into today? Ugh

  28. msb on September 10th, 2006 4:38 pm

Derek! welcome back! did you have some Guinness for us?

so, was Ichiro safe at 2nd? it was hard to tell from the 3rd level.

ah well– nice day, frustrating game … and why can’t Doyle hit rather than bunt?

  29. Chiro1623 on September 10th, 2006 5:49 pm

    Morse is the Man.

  30. Bretticus on September 10th, 2006 6:08 pm

#32–It was me with the Doyle sign at Safeco. No, we weren’t the crew of fat people in front of it, but the people slightly off screen a row behind them, so my mom says. We couldn’t get front row seats, so we just got there early, and used extra shoelaces to tie it on…except we ran out, so I had to sacrifice one. All in all, it was very much worth it.

RF better be called “The Outback” now…

  31. Otto on September 10th, 2006 6:11 pm

    #80 Nice Call

  32. joser on September 10th, 2006 10:39 pm

Game summary: Good Felix, bad hitters, worse manager.

RF better be called “The Outback” now…

I like that! “No rules, just right field.”

Outback Steakhouse should really sign Doyle up to do some commercials in the offseason. And they should pay me for the slogan, too 😉

  33. msb on September 11th, 2006 8:50 am

it would be nice to hear an Outback ad with even a vaguely Australian accent in it….

  34. vaughn leland on September 11th, 2006 2:44 pm

    80. i was shocked that no one remarked about the sign during the game, i even gave fair warning that “doyle” would make an appearance.

  35. Bretticus on September 11th, 2006 3:12 pm

#84: Yeah, it’s cool though. I’m going to take it to the rest of the games this season…just put it in RF before the game if I can’t get seats there. It’d be great if the USSM/LL crowd could come and try to get his attention drawn to the signs…heh.

Actually, a USSM and/or LL night at Safeco would be pretty awesome. Someone should organize it.

  36. vaughn leland on September 11th, 2006 3:23 pm

tell me where the signs will be and i’ll see what i can do on the telecast.

  37. Bretticus on September 11th, 2006 3:32 pm

Not sure when the next game I go to will be, but I’ll let you know, and I’ll bring the signs…even if I’m not in RF, I’ll probably put the signs there before the game…

  38. joser on September 11th, 2006 3:57 pm

Maybe extend the sign: “Doyle’s Outback” like Ichiro’s “Area 51”

  39. Bretticus on September 11th, 2006 4:16 pm

#88 That was what I was hoping to have happen…since Area 51 is CF, and The Boneyard is the Kingdome, I was hoping “Right Field is: The Outback Starring Chris Snelling” would get them to call it that on TV… No luck…yet.

  40. vaughn leland on September 11th, 2006 6:21 pm

    89. no signs = no tv mention . . . . good signs = possible tv mention(s)

  41. Bretticus on September 11th, 2006 6:43 pm

90–We get the signs on TV and they talked about them, but Rick seemed to think the big fans in front of us made the signs and were fans from down under. He did call him “Christopher Doyle Snelling”…just no mention of RF being “The Outback”…maybe we’ll get more next time…

  42. vaughn leland on September 11th, 2006 6:45 pm

    it’s a work in progress
