regarding Willie’s hot spring, and what might happen if it continues:

A player who has a true level of talent resulting in a .250 BA with no power could, at least once, hit .300 for an entire season.

I fear that Hargrove might overvalue BA. So it would mean that Willie would get even more playing time.

Anyone remember Felix Fermin? Lifetime .259/.305/.303 (uggg-ly)

But, for the M’s in 1994, he hit .317 in 379 at bats. And he never hit over .200 after that.
