In the beginning of the season #5s tend to get skipped based on days off, plus #5s tend to make less starts for that and other reasons.

I have my own simulator, probably somewhat similar to the DMB game. It has advanced sabermetric algorithms similar to what you'd find at the SBS Baseball Simulator. I have ran some seasonal sims for the Mariners with 2008 ZIPS Projections and using their 2008 schedule. I've only ran 8 seasons so far the average wins are 78.9 and average losses are 83.1 with a standard deviation of 6.56. High wins is 90, low wins is 73. It only plays the games for one team, so you don't see a complete league standings just a record for the team you are simulating. It uses a 5 man rotation and skips the 5th starter around off days. It uses the same starter from the opposing team (as in #3 starter vs #3 starter). I have Jones still on the Ms in this sim. If I could get projections for Jones on BAL and Bedard on SEA I could see the difference in wins.

I'm having trouble even getting DMB to recognize the zips file. I follow the directions and it keeps saying: "Unable To Build Database Indexes".

http://www.replacementlevel.com/stuff/sg/RunDMB.zip

SG on BBThinkFactory created this to run the season 100 times. He just posted the link and I won't be home for a hour and a half or more to try it.

Have you tried DMB AutoSim? http://www.geocities.com/dpyke/dmb/

Are you looking for a way to automate organization changes when using DMB Autosim?

I have not used it, sorry if this is a dumb post.
