Let’s not forget that Safeco Field was the “House that Griffey built”. There isn’t even a full season sample of what kind of numbers he could put up in Safeco field. I would choose Griffey over Bonds simply because of the baggage involved. I admit, he would great for the team’s performance. Bad for all the intangibles that make the team so great, such as veteran leadership, team chemistry, marketability. (I wish there was a sarcasm button.)

Come on…Griffey is a much better fit for the M’s.

Bonds would set a horrible example – (132 walks w/ 340 AB’s).

You want Kenji, Yuni, Lopi, Beltri, & Ichi (137 walks w/2818 AB’s – combined) to lose their aggressiveness at the plate?

Guys got to swing the bat if we want to hear the classic Dave Niehaus call “Swung on and belted!”

OBP, OPS are overrated. Griffey’s sweet swing will get the fans out to the ball park and put the M’s over the top.

Okay your right, it is not particularly close. I’d like to see DMZ play some ‘Stratomatic’ with Barry as the DH.
