Game 2, Rangers at Mariners
Hernandez vs Padilla, 7:05 pm.
Every night, baseball has the chance to entertain, to bring joy, and make us all happy, even if we don’t have anything to do with the game on the field. On certain nights, however, baseball possesses the ability to also be magical – to give us a memory that we’ll never forget, a story we can tell our grandkids, and an experience that will go down as one of the best of our lives.
Every single time Felix Hernandez takes the hill, that potential magic comes alive. It’s not just a baseball game, but instead, a chance to watch our 21-year-old Venezuelan phenom make history. There’s no ceiling for Felix – he literally could strike out all 27 batters he faced and I’d just say “yep, that’s Felix.”
It’s not just another day – it’s Felix Day. Happy Felix Day.

Welcome to the Ichiro Zone Defense, Wilkerson.
Felix to Richie: “Watch and learn!”
So does anybody know what Bedard said that upset people? I really want to know.
Speaking of good luck/bad luck — who brokered the sale of Vidro’s soul? That guy is increasingly just eerie.
What the hell did Turbo do to please the baseball Gods today?
Merry freaking Christmas.
Anyone want to enlighten me as to why Vidro isn’t being pinchrun for?
Why is Turbo on second base?? You’ve got plenty of pinch runners on the bench!!!!
’cause he’s a professional hitter who knows how to hit in the middle of the lineup. You think you’re just going to throw that away for a ‘platoon split’?
Michael Young is atrocious at shortstop. I can’t imagine watching him try to play defense every day.
Bedard, according to some Baltimore blogs I’ve read, has little patience for the typical stupid questions that post game media guys ask. His “4 questions and that’s it” thing from earlier in the spring was an obvious continuation of that.
Basically, Bedard is Seattle’s Barry Bonds. The media isn’t going to be favorable to him if he’s not favorable to them. As such, since the media basically controls what we see and hear, Bedard will be labeled “The Bastard” for his entire tenure.
And guess what? That wont help the team in signing him to an extension. Whether you like that idea or not of re-signing Bedard, the media and their treatment of him shouldn’t be an issue.
YUuuuuuuuuuuU! Man, do I smell the rancid oil of rally?
239 – Vidro is too valuable, in case the game goes to extras…though we needed to pinch run for our catcher…I don’t know.
Squeeze! Squeeze!

Oh, I don’t know. I’m sure it’s pretty much the same as watching our 1B and LF every day.
