Felix Day! It’s Felix Day!

Woo-hoo! Yeah! Felix Day is here! Sorry to have to spring this on you before you get of town, Oakland, but that guy with the weird facial hair (no, the other one, the one that’s scheduled to start today) drew a short, short straw, because he gets to pitch against Felix. I know, sometimes life’s like that. But hey, look at the bright side: because of the way the schedule works out, you won’t have to face him again until July. Two months without having to see that terrifying curve. It’ll be like a vacation.
Hooray for Felix Day! It is good that every day isn’t Felix Day because otherwise we wouldn’t fully appreciate it. Long live King Felix.
Happy Felix Day!
I need to set my computer to send a message every five days at midnight: Today is Felix Day, it will be fun.
i love the early morning proclamations……
is it morning yet?
Yay for Felix Day! I’m home from California for a few days and had to get tickets to finally see my team at the ballpark — and get a nice dose of stellar pitching. Go King Felix!
Woo-hoo, Felix day!
It’s almost exciting as the Mariners hit a sacrifice fly!
bunt! is it Felix day already?!
Feliz Feliz Feliz!!!Felix Felix Felix!!!
speaking of which, have you see Mountain Man Haren lately?
Does anyone know what the vesting option for Vidro is?
per Baker, it is “rumored to be either 400 at-bats, or 450 plate appearances”.
Hey, I rumored that!
The satellite tv guy is at my house right now setting up the tv with my new HD. Between marriage and honeymoon and moving to Idaho I’ve probably only watched 4 games this year. What a treat that I get Felix Day for my first game on the new tv. Booya!
You’ve got more faith in the satellite guy than I do. Good luck!
As a newly wed at least he has something to do if the hi-def goes on the fritz. After 40 years of marriage, though, I really depend on my Comcast signal.
Happy Felix Day!
Line-up? Please tell me Norton is at DH…
you’re just a genius.
Norton is at DH.
It’s a good day all around baseball, pitching-wise: Felix, Wang, Shields, Smoltz, Beckett, Lohse (?), and — easily the best matchup of the day — Peavy vs Webb, each with 29K and ERAs in the 2s. (Smoltz and Felix are tied at 31K going into today, BTW. There’s a pitching duel I’d love to see).
Also, I don’t which matchup amuses me more: Barry Zito (0-5, 10K, 5.61ERA, 7 Years/$126M) vs Edinson Volquez (3-0, 23K 1.21, 1 Year/$392K) or the “Whose career craters first?” face-off between Weaver and Verlander.
I was kinda wondering if/when the new Future Forty will be posted.
Someone recently said those are typically updated on or near the 1st of each month. Stay tuned.
How many more games until I NEVER have to see Brad Wilkerson in a Mariner uniform again?
