    Great game last night tho. Was pretty funny to get out-Maddoned.

    Bring in 5 infielders and not go to Percival yet because he’s more prone to give up the flyball than Chadford Bradford. Good times.

    Silva’s tirade, WFB’s injury, exciting extra inning game…and I was going crazy with no USSM coverage! Welcome back!

    Yeah, that was a good call by Maddon there. I liked the confused look on Upton’s face as he walked all the way into the infield.

    I think Jose Silva flew into a tirade last night when he found out his post-game Silva burger had onion rings on it instead of the regular Rally Fries.

    Drayer was fired by KOMO, not the Mariners. That would have been a nice trick.

    Laid off, more like. They’re throwing in the towel on this season; I imagine they’re losing their shirts on the M’s this year. I’m sure Drayer’s already got her resume over to KIRO for next year. I hope they hire her.

    Bummer about Shannon Drayer. Guess KOMO has gone into full FILTC mode. Maybe KIRO will hire her immediately, and keep her reporting & blogging. That’d probably help start bringing folks over to 710 early, and make the station look a lot classier than KOMO.

    Squib in yesterday’s Seattle Times that Washburn had ‘apparently’ (I’m paraphrasing from memory) cleared waivers and now could be traded. Since that was all that I’ve seen or heard on the subject, presumably it was not the ‘straight poop’ as we used to say below decks?

    Rosenthal on foxsports.com today was saying that the Yankees had claimed Washburn off of waivers, but he wansn’t hopeful that a deal would get done for the same reasons it didn’t get done at the deadline.

    I guess the USSM server was just trying to run up individual stats and Silva threw it against a wall to teach the other servers in the clubhouse a lesson. Glad Derek could put it back together.
