Bet you didn't know LaCava still holds the all-time career batting average record at Pitt!

Few also know LaCava was one of the first to embrace statistical analysis and apply it logically to players' performances and skills! I was very surprised when I learned that.

The more you research the guy, the more you like him.

So how fantastical is it to hope beyond hope that Chuck Armstrong would be strongly urged to retire by the ownership committee?

If this fantasy were to develop further, who would be the best possible Team President considering the constraints of the non-fantastical reality of ownership by committee, CEO expectations, and whoever the heck comes in as General Manager?

As the scuttlebutt is that Pat Gillick will be taking the now-vacant Team President position in Toronto, yet still lives in Seattle with his wife, how good/bad would President Gillick be in Seattle, as opposed to the just-horribly-nightmarish General Manager Gillick?

As before, w/r/t "why x?" I'm going to refer everyone to the intro paragraph.

Could I add a "change" column? Possibly, but the problem is that right now, its light weight is its charm. As with other requests for "favorability" or "USSM endoresment scale" I don't think we'll be doing that.

DMZ, could you include a % CHG column for us on these updates, or does that mark me as the lazy fan I surely am?
Thanks!

Just curious, but why is Antonetti up? I'd love him to get the job as much as anyone, but what has indicated his chances are better now?
