Well, I’m going to I-Tunes to dowload that one. And you can bet I’m going to play it about 600 times tomorrow!!!!
Im gonna dream about the glory days of griffey in seattle and wake up knowing that these will not be the glory days. This can’t end well.
Ahhh the Griffey at bat song… Bring it back or retire it?
Why not stick with something old and very Seattle like Sir Mix a lot… Posse on Broadway?
Great can Griffey also wear his 1993 uniform? If we are going to make everyday turn-back-the-clock; we should at least go all out!
Just for this video USS Mariner becomes the best website on Mariner baseball. Thank you from the bottom of my heart…
Hey Derek,
After this you’re obligated to do a post with either 3rd Base or Black Sheep.
I’d go for Black Sheep’s “Strobe-light Honey”.
Thanks for taking me back to Sophomore year of High School.
“Welcome Back” by Mase might be another good at-bat song for Griffey – it’s not really a GOOD song, but I think it feels like the RIGHT song. The embed didn’t work, so I’ll link to it next post.
“Welcome Back” by Mase – go to about 1:45
I didn’t realize it until I saw this, but I had a dream last night that Alex was coming back too.
WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?!
I’m sorry, did I say “dream”? I meant to say nightmare.
WOOF! WOOF-WOOF!
Tracy Morgan was in Naughty by nature?!
Would you believe I listened to this at 10 pm last night after hearing the news? And I’m not even that stoked about it (relatively). Memories of crappy King-dog-dome jumbotron animation just won’t fade…
This is so dope! I’m breakin’ out my gold dollar sign M’s cap, throwing a few Griffey chocolate bars in my lunchbox (white chocolate now!) and jackin’ up my Nakamichi cassette player w/some “Color Me Badd.”
Jiggity, diggity, wiggity!
I love Hip Hop Hooray and that is the one at-bat song that should always be tied to Griffey. If memory serves, however, I do believe he moved on to Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize” before he left town.
Here is the video.
While we’re breaking out the flashbacks, KJR had this spinning this morning. Ahhh, Kid Sensation…
He has to play this song as his batter diddy.
This is beautiful.
