A Good Cause

Last year, I posted a link to the fund-raising website of my then-fiancee-now-beautiful-wife, who was participating in a marathon to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. You guys responded in such a remarkable way, I figured I’d offer you an encore – sort of.
This time, it’s not my wife, but fellow Mariner blogger Jason Churchill, who is doing the Light The Night walk for the LLS on September 26th with his fiancee. If you’d like to donate to LLS to help fund research to wipe out these two diseases, Jason’s fund-raising page can be found here.
Dave, edit your post before your wife reads it. “Now-beautiful-wife” … What was she before? Shouldn’t it be “beautiful now-wife?”
She got more beautiful once she was married to Dave, statistically speaking. (Which is kind of a reverse split, if you get most husbands to answer you honestly, I suspect.)
Of course if he wants to edit to be “then-beautiful-fiancee-now-beautiful-wife” or “then-fiancee-now-(beautiful)-wife” that’s fine, but I didn’t see anything wrong with how it reads right now.
Anyway, that’s all off point. The point is, this is a good cause and I’m glad to see various Mariner blogger finacees are still supporting it. In fact, I think if there’s a Mariners blogger without a girlfriend, the evidence suggests this is a good way to end up married.
I don’t know, this sounds an awful lot like the “proven closer” fallacy.
In any case, kudos Jason!
