This would have been a good time to put Carlos Silva in at short stop.

Yes, there’s twenty games left, but as Sims and Blowers keep talking about someone getting hurt, I feel uncomfortable.

This hasn’t been the luckiest year for him.

    Josh Wilson to pitch!!!!

  6. DMZ on September 12th, 2009 8:26 pm

Meanwhile, hordes of Oregon fans are redailing some poor guy answering phones at FSN’s 1-800 number for a chance to scream at him.

  7. DMZ on September 12th, 2009 8:27 pm

If you can’t tell the difference between Sims and Rizzs, I don’t know what to say

  8. juneau_fan on September 12th, 2009 8:28 pm

Did Pudge just wipe homeplate off with a towel? So much for dusting it off!

  9. msb on September 12th, 2009 8:29 pm

Everyone knows … Sims is the one with the hats, and Rizzs has his hair to keep him warm.

Oh dear, true. But that do both have that unnerving dirty old man laugh.

That’s my excuse. That and my own ears are filled with rain.

How much pull does Chuck Armstrong have with FSN?

  12. juneau_fan on September 12th, 2009 8:36 pm

    Okay, now we’re mudwrestling.

  13. DMZ on September 12th, 2009 8:36 pm

    This is f’ing crazy

You run, you slide, you hit the ramp and take a dive!

  15. msb on September 12th, 2009 8:37 pm

    This umpire crew is insane.

  16. msb on September 12th, 2009 8:38 pm

Someone needs to talk to the official scorer.

  17. Breadbaker on September 12th, 2009 8:38 pm

were they waiting for Wilson to break a leg on that play?

  18. msb on September 12th, 2009 8:39 pm

Is it still an error if he breaks a leg?

  19. DMZ on September 12th, 2009 8:40 pm

Would an average fielder at the position have broken their leg?

  20. rsrobinson on September 12th, 2009 8:41 pm

Absolute BS continuing to play in those conditions.

  21. msb on September 12th, 2009 8:42 pm

Would an average fielder at the position have broken their leg?

And can you reasonably expect them to get the ball to 2nd, having broken their leg?

  22. JerBear on September 12th, 2009 8:42 pm

Would an average fielder at the position have broken their leg?

Ha! making me choke on my beer, Derek.

Seriously, they should have called this a long time ago…

  23. msb on September 12th, 2009 8:46 pm

Apparently Gary Cederstrom is being very conscious of the pennant race

    Insane in the membRAIN!
    Insane in the bRAIN!

I do have to salute Ron Washington for having the class to go out and argue to call the game after his team gets two on with no outs in the 9th.

…but they should have called that game LONG ago. I have no idea what game the umps were watching. Football was on another channel.

  25. Liam on September 12th, 2009 8:48 pm

and a below average fielder at the position would have broken their teammate’s leg.

  26. G-Man on September 12th, 2009 9:34 pm

I see that they called the Boston-Tampa game after 6 innings, and that one sure as heck has potential playoff implications.

  27. Liam on September 12th, 2009 9:37 pm

If you believe in the butterfly effect then every game has playoff implications.
