Another day, another stupid line-up, another bad choice in pinch-hitting, and another loss.
Fire Wak.
(face palm)
Allow me to revise my earlier plea…
Dear Wak:
If you had your lineup order correct, Bradley would’ve hit
LAST INNINGin the 7th and 9th with runners on base. Believe in Sweeney on your own time.Sincerely,
Mariner Fans Everywhere
Wak, this is your reward for batting SUCKHUGS 4th.
You know, in Wak’s defense, you can’t make chicken salad out of chicken shit.
But yeah, you can’t cure stupid, either.
Here i thought Z was suppose to be better than bavasi. I hated Bavasi but at least he wasn’t afraid to make moves.
Positive notes: The defense looked good, fister pitched very well keeping the Jay’s in the yard, Milton went 2 for 4 and looked really good.
Another note on Milt, that ball he hit off the plate, he was out of the box like a rocket. Love to see that hustle.
It’s a loss, but it was a competative game. The offense might be close to turning a corner.
Griffey still needs to go, sorry Junior. 🙁
Haha, just noticed this retweet from “The Real Mariners”
Yeah, given what they’ve chosen to put in the field, this makes a lot of sense.
Does anyone else fondly recall those days when we were 11-11 and there was still a shred of hope left? How cruelly that hope is stolen after 15 losses in 18 games.
If we counted close losses as a stat that could get us somewhere, I might care.
The losing is getting sick, yes.
Tonight though, made me hope against 2 out of 4 batters in the ninth. They made me wish they failed so miserably…
I really hate rooting against my team’s players…
…all over again, like 2008.
This sucks.
I’m still pissed at the loss, but I did not have the feeling of impending doom like I normlly do.
There was actually a ray of hope in this game and some positives to be found here, regardless of the outcome.
Yeah, but that doesn’t mean you have to ruin the lettuce by putting the shit in the salad.
Sorry if I came out harshly previously, but I’m just pissed off that I can turn off the TV when Sweeney comes up because I know exactly what’s going to happen.
Funniest damned thing I’ve read in a game thread outside the lineup in weeks.
Sutiyo, I feel you, when Griffey popped up I had to walk out of the room and just listen to the rest.
The only thing that could have made this game more ironic to watch as a Blue Jays fan would have been if Brandon League came in and lost the game on some dinks-n-dunks and seeing eye singles. Just brutal to watch a team that can’t hit with RISP and continues giving ABs to veterans who don’t deserve them, it’s the 2008-2009 Blue Jays version 2.0 when we had to suffer through a plethora of AB from Thomas, Stewart, Mench, Wilkerson, Dellucci, and especially Millar as #4 last year…Wait until tomorrow afternoon when you face the Blue Jays ace and his disgusting changeup and you’ll really be pulling your hair out wondering if it’s the Mariners who suck or opposing pitchers who are amazing. The one thing I’ll say about the M’s offensive woes, (and I’m sure you guys know much better than I do if this is even a factor), is that Safeco really depresses offense and makes the pitchers look way better than they really are. Even Sweeney’s last AB is likely at least a double at the SkyDome, and the Blue Jays had numerous hits/outs (Lewis, Bautista, Overbay, Hill) that are easily gone in another park.
There, I fixed that for you.
