Dave on KGA and going to Zebulon

Two quick notes – my weekly radio spot with Toby, Danny, and the guys at KGA will be at 5:05 pm tonight. You can listen online at 1510kga.com.

Also, on Wednesday night, I’ll be in Zebulon, North Carolina with USSM alum Conor Glassey to watch the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx play the Carolina Mudcats. Michael Pineda is scheduled to take the mound for West Tenn, plus the game should feature Dustin Ackley, Carlos Triunfel, and the regression to the mean show sponsored by Carlos Peguero. We’ve already had one USSM reader express interest in meeting up at or before the game, and if there’s enough interest, we’ll put something informal together.     How about taking a moment on your radio spot to compare Mariner gem Jose Lopez’s stats with castout Yunieski Betancourt’s? Anyway,we sure could use two more giant bags of potato chips like the ones we got for Yuni. Griffey’s getting hungry.

    You were absolutely right in suggesting Jack Wilson pull Junior aside for a bit of career analysis… While i’d like to see Figgins hit ninth, i’d like to see Lopez hit twelth.

    The “switch Figgins and Lopez back to their real positions” idea couldn’t hurt. (All of this ‘GREAT DEFENSE’ hasn’t won us 18 games in near to two monthes). Maybe some defensive familiarity might spark some offensive rejuvination. To me these two are the biggest culprits in the flop of ’10.
    It’s not like good hitting was expected from the catchers, Kotchman, Junior or a shortstop.

    Hmmmm… Wednesday… I may be there. However, I will definately be there on Sunday due to the long Memorial Day weekend.

    Any chance anyone else will be there on Sunday?

    I will be there for the game tomorrow. I had no idea there was a town called Zebulon within an hour of my house, nor that Dustin Ackley, Michael Pineda, and Carlos Triunful occasionally frequent Zebulon to play baseball. I guess this is why I read USSM.
