At least one night out of every 5, the Mariners are worth watching.
“rey” of hope? like rey ordonez? or maybe you meant ray of hope”?
as a follow up, i agree that was fun.
Ooh, dang Mike…you beat me to it on the Ordonez quip…so I’ll say Rey Sanchez instead! š
And agreed…that was fun — and we haven’t been able to say that very much this year!
And/or Rey means King in spanish – as in King Felix.
Could we at least assume I know how to spell the word ray, so if its r-e-y, maybe I’m making a pun?
Isn’t it Devil Rey?
(and Dave, don’t worry, I saw what you did there)
Hanging is too good for a man who makes puns; he should be drawn and quoted. ~Fred Allen
Speaking of puns, this morning’s in the Times was about as bad as they come. People, whose job it is to write headlines, must be the dullest people on the face of the earth.
Hells yes, this man can manage. š
El Rey de esperanza.
BTW I’m still waiting for the first mention of Moore’s cERA. š
Robin Williams once played a character named Ray D. Tutti
I’m sorry, but Rey Quinones is no longer with the team.
People, people, people! It’s a clever reference to Alderman Rey Colon from the 35th Ward in Chicago.
Woohoo, only 48 more wins and….well, they still wouldn’t make the playoffs.
And they’re 2-0 under Daren Brown! Why couldn’t he have been coaching them all year? They’d probably have the best record in the league!
[/sarcasm]
So if the Mariners play .500 ball or better the rest of the way, what are the chances that Brown stays on as the manager?
