Hmmm, dog days of August, the trade deadline passed, a team out of contention, not much to talk about, right? It’s not like the team has done anything recently that’s newsworthy. What’s the topic going to be, do you think?
Obviously, joser, Felix’s crumbling since the demotion of Rob Johnson.
Neither Brock nor Salk had heard of the “dead cat bounce”? Really? I guess neither one of them has ever invested in the stock market. (Oh, that’s right: they have people who do that for them.)
Also, spending any time thinking about a Seattle Times poll that wasn’t a random sample is just idiotic. I’m pretty sure 40% of the people who respond to every Seattle Times Poll are blithering idiots and there’s a very good reason they have nothing better to do with their time. But B&S is a jock-talk show with airtime to fill so….
(I guess it’s better than listening them talk about back-hair. And off goes my radio. Why to keep me hooked after the break, guys.)
Wait, something’s happened to Rob Johnson?
Actually, last night as I was watching Cliff Lee mow down Yankees, I found myself thinking wistfully about might-have-beens, because I was in Canada on Sunday where I watched the Jays’ broadcast of Morrow’s 17K gem. And I realized that it would’ve been very easy to have had those 17, plus Felix’s 13, plus Lee’s 11, all for this year’s M’s and all in the same week.
Of course, this year’s M’s would’ve still lost two of the three by producing near-zero runs.
But still.
is fister being skipped in his next start due to the off day? or was there a bigger reshuffling of the rotation.
Figgins to Atlanta rumors resurface. Eastern writers claim Mariners contacted Braves first time around, now Braves possibly interested in reopening discussion in view of Chipper’s season ending injury. So at least there’s something to talk about.
Did ALL of the high risk low cost moves fail?
Kotchman
Jack Wilson
Bradley (2 year but, yeah, not really)
Byrnes
In the spring, there were fails like Garko
47% of the people that took that poll should remove themselves from the gene pool
63% of people who routinely take on-line polls are already functionally removed from the gene pool, at least temporarily.
