Hernandez vs Masterson, 10:05 AM.
Happy Felix Day.
The M’s put their ace on the mound as they go for the sweep. Not a bad position to be in.

Happy felix day. I’m posting a sign on the facade of the upper deck that say as much ( 2 sections towards first base from home plate).
4-1 in their last 5? Now is not a good time to start drinking folks!
Hooray Felix Day. Should be a fun game.
I refuse to comment on Lopez batting fourth.
Oops…
@lesch2k Your sign made the pregame show at about 10:04….
Hah, nice sign 🙂
C’mon Lopie
LOLopez.
I know it’s more fashionable to bemoan the loss of Brandon Morrow, but I grind my teeth every time Choo makes a great play.
Is Masterson seriously no-hitting us? I know its only been four innings but geeze. The M’s hate giving Felix run support
That a boy Kotchman. Way to shut me up lol
seriously? You have SAUNDERS bunt?
Take away one of the strongest bats?
Sigh.
Saunders bunts all the time. Now whether he should or not is a good question.
That tag lightly brushed the jersey. tuck in your jersey, kids. This ain’t hockey.
No it didn’t. Why does it seem like the calls go against the M’s all the time this year?
well that was robbery.
Every time I think about that horrible Choo for an ESPN analyst trade, it almost makes me wish I had a Bill Bavasi voodoo bobblehead.
The way the Mariners have hit this year, it makes me think Bat Masterson could return from the dead and no-hit them.
Speaking of historical figures, today’s game was starting to get a vibe of this one.
So sad. With so many of the Mariners’ ads now irrelevant, they’re forced to use previous seasons’. I do love that Ichiro one, though.
They just showed your sign brah!
Well, thanks a lot, guys, for finding a way to screw up yet another one of Felix’ starts…sigh.
Felix has had his best breaking ball the past two starts, and now near the end of his outing when he should start to rely on it more and more he just continues to pump fastballs.
I absolutely HATE Chone Figgins
I’m finally going to say it, after controlling myself all season, because I do think Figgins has actual ability, unlike Lopez.
I hate you, Figgins.
ETA: OH, right, this is going to end well. In the words of Dusty Baker, Hafner’s due!
I’m shocked, shocked I tell you.
I wonder if the Braves have any fresh boxes of sunflower seeds they can give us for Figgins?
Have I told anybody lately, that I hate chone figgins and that I hold him personally responsible for the majority of what went wrong this season? Logic be damned!
Bad calls did in the M’s today, not the play of our guys.
And now Sean White.
Perfect. Just perfect.
Yeah, it’s not as though Hafner sucks and has no power, after all…
Back in the day, I would’ve been tempted to pull a David Letterman and throw my radio out the window on just such occasions. I must be getting older and wiser in my “middle” age.
It might have been in Chicago, but late in one of the M’s road games, Figgins came up to bat late in the game, and you could clearly hear some guy in the crowd chanting “CHO-NEEEEEEEE.” He keeps this up, we may be hearing that in home games before long. At least he is hitting. *shrug*
Where exactly was the bad call? The tag on Figgins DID get him. They showed a different angle a few frames after the tag that made it look like he missed it by a foot, but that wasnt the case.
In other news, Sean White.
Is Figgins going to score seven runs in two innings? Because that’s what it’s going to take.
Oops, maybe eight…still going…
Sean White, ladies and gentlemen…
(Although, I can’t argue with him being used in this situation…the game’s beyond reach…)
I don’t know what feed you’re watching. They played an angle that showed that although the straight angle appeared that he was touched, he was clearly not.
I can honestly say I have never been more frustrated as an M’s fan than today. Masterson throws more balls than strikes, and the M’s can’t even squeak one run! I’m all for blowing up this team and starting over, keeping only Felix.
Ahh…the value of having these “hometown” guys
hogging up roster spaceas part of a “competitive” team.LOLopez, way to turn that close double into a single.
Would the Rainiers beat the Mariners in a seven-game series?
At this point, the Queen Anne Little League All-Stars could probably beat the M’s in a seven-game series.
Nah, the Rainiers have Rob Johnson.
Haha…No doubt those mind-reading intangibles lead to wins! Viva El RoJo!
At least it’s not a shut out.
Some kid just yelled at Seddon “hey pitcher, over here!” he then gives up a HR! Somebody punch that kid, and Seddon.
Actually, I think I’d rather have this guy behind the plate/in the lineup than RoJo…
Besides probably being more productive, he’d become an instant fan favorite — and just imagine the marketing possibilities for collectibles! 🙂
2010 Seattle Mariners, how do I hate thee? Let me count the ways…
How about this for a marketing slogan:
The 2010 Seattle Mariners: Is it football season yet?
Or…
The 2010 Seattle Mariners: You’ll have more fun watching the Rainiers.
Last spring, there sure were a lot of USSM’ers applauding Figgins’ acquisition and Jack Z’s work in general.
But all that was then, this is now.
Those Cleveland Indians sure have a couple of good young players, Cabrera and Choo. They might be worth something some day.
I am still not against the Figgins signing, but I do think he’s made it obvious why he got moved to third – the guy is just not that good a second baseman.
