Game 135, Indians at Mariners

French vs Carmona, 7:10 pm.

I wonder if you could find two less similar pitchers to match up against each other. Strasburg vs Moyer, maybe.

Aroldis Chapman vs Moyer. Pure power with little accuracy vs no power and precision.

Accuracy won’t matter – Baby Steps 6-4-3 will watch the first one go by, then swing at everything else.

Jose Lopez is awful, why the managers are obsessed with him?

  4. Swungonandbelted on September 3rd, 2010 7:27 pm

Bases loaded nobody out, and Lopey’s whiff followed by Kotchy’s GIDP….

    Yeah Football Season!

  5. Paul B on September 3rd, 2010 7:31 pm

Yup, that first inning was going really well until tweedledee and tweedledum got up there to make 3 outs between them.

  6. Paul B on September 3rd, 2010 7:32 pm

Oh, Carmona was wild, and Lopez swung at 3 straight pitches two of which were outside the strike zone.

Why doesn’t this surprise me in the least?

We’re playing for a high draft pick. Please, keep starting Lopez….preferably in the 3-hole!

Agree, Anthony Rendon is in play and Pittsburg won today, keep Lopie and put Tui in the 4 hole!!!

    Plus the Hyphen´s call up

Has the Count done color commentary during other games?

Krotch-Man is becoming a caricature of himself.

Why does Dave Simms not go by the unwritten baseball rule of not saying there is a no hitter going? Is he too good for the rules?

  12. groundzero55 on September 3rd, 2010 8:29 pm

    SHHH….you just said it again

  13. SODOMOJO360 on September 3rd, 2010 8:35 pm

    Simms already jinxed it

  14. Westside guy on September 3rd, 2010 8:38 pm

    What’s this about a no-hitter?

  15. cjhenry on September 3rd, 2010 8:38 pm

I believe the criminal Brumley told Kotchman to go. And the crazy thing is he did. Why would anyone listen to Brumley? Why would anyone sign Kotchman?

Cheer up folks, they are only 7 better players away from being good.

  16. Westside guy on September 3rd, 2010 8:44 pm

I still have a hard time believing they held onto Brumley when they fired Wak and the others.

  17. jt92 on September 3rd, 2010 8:51 pm

Dave Simms is just plain awful, Just sayin

  18. Westside guy on September 3rd, 2010 8:54 pm

Thank GOODNESS Mr. Brown has been sticking with the veterans Lopez and Kotchman.

  19. cjhenry on September 3rd, 2010 9:04 pm

Guti, I love you dearly, please stop swinging at that pitch. The pitchers have your number man.

  20. cjhenry on September 3rd, 2010 9:07 pm

    And so it begins…….

  21. MariLOLs on September 3rd, 2010 9:08 pm

    David BBrdsma everybody!

  22. cjhenry on September 3rd, 2010 9:10 pm

Ok, what the hell was that Lopez?

  23. G-Man on September 3rd, 2010 9:11 pm

Jeez, Aardsma, Lopez – do you HAVE to do this to us?

  24. lalo on September 3rd, 2010 9:13 pm

At least we have 3 excellent options for closer in 2011, Lueke, Cortes and League

  25. Paul L on September 3rd, 2010 9:13 pm

I really wish we could have dealt Aardsma.

  26. cjhenry on September 3rd, 2010 9:15 pm

Ok, they only need to replace 6 fielders, not 7. The CONDOR!!

  27. cjhenry on September 3rd, 2010 9:18 pm

This is some new meaning of the word “closer” I’m not familiar with.

  28. cjones on September 3rd, 2010 9:20 pm

If French assaults Aardsma, I will contribute to the defense fund

  29. cjones on September 3rd, 2010 9:21 pm

    That was absurd

  30. G-Man on September 3rd, 2010 9:21 pm

    Game, Mariners.

The DA is lucky that Duncan was swinging at everything and his defense picked him up.

  31. cjhenry on September 3rd, 2010 9:22 pm

    EL CONDORO saved our butt.

  32. Breadbaker on September 3rd, 2010 9:32 pm

That wild pitch was a rare one this year that was really on the pitcher. Johnny Bench doesn’t stop that. Aardsma was on the thinnest of ice with the smallest of margins tonight.

  33. Westside guy on September 3rd, 2010 9:34 pm

Saunders doesn’t have quite the same grace as Guti – but he can sure cover some ground. I hope he’s patrolling left for the Mariners for many years.

This goes for all our starters. I would entertain this for a SP that tries to pick off Tinsley as well…

I think Luke French is for real. What does everybody else think?

And the bullpen guys should be flat on the ground praying to their new Condor god right now.

Sure he’s real, If by real you mean a lefty fly-ball 5th starter type taking advantage of a huge left field and a crap opponent.
