All Day Playoff Chat

I’m hosting a marathon chat session over at FanGraphs today, as we’ll be chatting all through the three playoff match-ups today. If you want a spot to hang out while you watch the game (or, you know, “work”), check it out.
Well, the Rays-Rangers game is in progress…and yet “your home for the MLB post-season” KIRO has Groz and Cash on there yapping about Conan O’Brien instead.
Gee, thanks a lot, guys! >:(
Cliff Lee!
Oooh, I was going to post an enormous screed / rant / prayer suggesting which WS matchup I’d like most (and, more importantly, which I don’t want to see)…. but I’ll resist.
You realize if Texas goes all the way through (whether they win the WS or not) it’ll leave the M’s and Nationals (1994 Expos, *sniff*) as the only teams that have never seen WS play? Even the perpetually woeful Cubs enjoyed losing a WS as recently as 1945.
The Cubs are basically born again WS virgns, though.
Just think for a moment of how much the map of the world has changed since the Cubbies last made it to the Series…
Incredible!
Halladay! Wow!
Too bad you got such a crappy game to talk about 😉
This just in: Roy Halladay is happy to be in the playoffs.
I think if Halladay wasn’t so nervous about making his first ever playoff start he could’ve thrown a perfect game.
THIS is why playoff experience matters, people.
Congrats to “Doc” Halladay!! 🙂
Heard the final 2 innings of Halladay’s no-no on the Phillies broadcast on XM. Wow!!!
Ten hours of watching great baseball and these guys chat. It’s been pretty sweet, honestly.
Speaking as a life-long Blue Jays fan, I can only say: this is long-overdue attention and acclaim for Roy Halladay, the best pitcher in baseball.
Thanks for the heads up, that stuff is great.
I wish the Twins would never make the playoffs. They are so fucking useless. Pussy pushovers for the freaking Yankees.
As an M’s fan, I’d just like to say that when your best option to break up a no-hitter is Miguel Cairo, you aren’t going to.
I’d love to see Lee against Halliday in game one of the World Series. That would be an awesome matchup.
Maybe we can trade Halman, Beavan, and Lueke for Haladay? Don’t put it past the Phils!
