Podcast: Inside the Cutoff Again

A quick turnaround and the Mariners have gone back to winning since our last recording. They now sit just two back of Oakland. We spend some time talking about that.

I’m shocked to hear that Kendrys Morales has been league average at anything important, even for a short time. Must be the home runs.
It seems like every relevant team except the Mariners has a ridiculously easy schedule. This is not going to be easy.
Definitely want to fire Bavasi again.

Is a one day lag still necroposting? It makes it seem futile, on a baseball blog, to be lagged back to here with a comment. A wish: that some sort of “new post” signalled a belated comment.
Anyway… never mind. What I only wanted to say was a reflection on their schedule from here on out, which is indeed tough. But, strange to say, almost the one thing you don’t want handing these guys, is something that looks simple. Either statistically or relatively.
They tend to suck when that happens.
Jeff’s stunned, confused beat of silence immediately following “It would be really weird to fire Bavasi.” Pure. Comedy. Gold.
