Saunders moves up… you know what, screw it. The line-up doesn’t matter. All this time being spent talking about batting order is just a giant waste of time. Batting order has a very small impact on a team’s performance over the course of the season. It just isn’t worth all this attention.

What is it about this team? When we face the Indians, so many times the damnedest, goofiest stuff on the field happens.

Also…Montero is 22. I’m not gonna rip him a new one for that play… although that was just bonehead baseball, throwing it to third.
Speaking of goofy things, anyone see that at-bat by Lowrie last night? Looked like something out of “The Naked Gun”.
Jose Lopez: that’s just uncalled for.
I am sensing a need for an attitude adjusting workout, but I will do it with the game on in the background. I will defer judgement on its success, accordingly.

I’m amazed that one went out. It almost looked like the most defensive, “excuse-me” swing I’ve ever seen from Ackley.

Nice to see Saunders swipe 2nd, flash his speed in that two-hole.
Kind of ironic that if Saunders hadn’t stolen that base, he would probably be safe at 1st, and the inning would continue.

Remember when we thought Alex Liddi had figured out his K problem? Those were the days..
Trying your hardest to be impartial, who would you rather have as your second baseman for the next few years, Kipnis or Ackley?
Trick question? I’d say Kipnis, if it meant putting Ackley in left.
It wasn’t intended to be a trick, more just genuine curiosity as to who everyone thought was the superior player

Honestly, I like Ackley.
Yeah I think they’re pretty close. I think Ackley’s faster and has a little more pop, but I think Kipnis is as good or better in terms of batting average and probably a slightly superior fielder.
Wow Felix is getting shelled.
Geez…. would be nice to see him get out of the inning on a positive note.

Well, let’s see.
We’ve lost 4 of the last 5, and are 5 runs behind on this one. Our ace just got hammered as if he just got called up- and just got told to take a shower. In the fourth inning.

Well, looking at the positives, at least the top of the order is producing.
Okay, that’s it. Done with this game. I’m going to go out and do gardening.

My guess is that a lot of you guys are right there with me in being done watching.
We will be seeing Saunders in the second spot for the next two months now.
Maybe it’s just me but Felix has not been totally Felix-ish this year. He’s worrying me.
Saunders has had a nice game and also had 3B stolen with ease, earlier – but Montero swung at an 0-0 pitch and Saunders got doubled off. He had a good lead, a great read and a good jump.
Montero on the other hand looked like a 22 year old rookie today. To his credit, he has not yet looked that way on both sides of the ball in the same game – until today. At least not to any glaring level that I can recall.
Felix just did not have it today. Cleveland owned him. It happens. That’s the good news. The other “good news” – Noesi pitches tomorrow and will probably hold the Indians to less than 10 runs.
Shit-sloppy crap game. Not even Tony Horton could help me completely overcome the Mariner Malaise virus, but he got close.
@pgreyy: where are you plying your craft this week? For anybody who doesn’t know, Pete is a stand-up comedian in real life.

I was really amazed that anyone could’ve looked at Rod Carew’s line from his final season and apparently not find it the least bit odd that a guy hitting .280 wasn’t offered a contract. It is quite apparent attention to detail isn’t dantheman’s strong suit.

I realize you can’t blame this loss on Figgins. But when he is playing, it means Wedge is not doing the minimum of what he must do to win. We’ve seen this story time and again.
Remember when Jose Vidro played, batted cleanup, as Adam Jones sat? Jones now has 11 dingers. WTF.
And now another losing season. Why does this team still have any fans?
