Off-season to-do list

DMZ · November 1, 2004 at 9:56 pm · Filed Under Off-topic ranting

I’ve been asked “So what are you going to do in the off-season?”

A brief summary:
– spend time with the Mrs.
– write my chapters for Baseball Prospectus 2005
– research, writing for Secret Project 1, details forthcoming
– research, writing for Secret Project 2, details not forthcoming
– improve the site some more
– possibly launch bizarre, ill-fated site features
– research stocks
– read books
– play video games

I also may watch some football.

The off-season doesn’t do a lot to lighten my workload. Anyway, back to the keyboard.

While it’s not so off-topic, do you have any idea why the Mariners made it a point to send an email announcing that they declined Guardado’s option? Just curious and maybe it’s just my overthought…

By the way… your system clock is off guys. The last comment I made wasn’t at 8:36 am, since it’s only 7:38 am right now. 😉

Well… if I knew how to fix that, I would.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but I’m genuinely surprised you’re married. You just… don’t seem the sort.

DMZ… I seriously doubt you have root access on the machine that hosts your site, which is required to set the system clock. It just appears that they did not “fall back” for whatever reason. Perhaps you can just let them know about it, and they can fix it? It’s not a big deal really, I’m just kind of anal like that. Sorry if I came across as a bad guy or something.

Oh, and Evan (#7)… a lot of folks are surprised that I’m married, too… especially after they’ve met my wife! How I suckered her into marrying me I’ll never know.
