    PCL Championship Pitching Matchups:

    Game 1 Damian Moss (9-7, 3.73) vs. Gary Glover (6-4, 3.03)
    Game 2 Bobby Livingston (6-2, 4.70) vs. Ben Hendrickson (6-12, 4.97)
    Game 3 Jesse Foppert (0-1, 2.57) vs. Tommy Phelps (1-0, 1.13)
Game 4 Francisco Cruceta (1-1, 5.00) vs. Dennis Sarfate (0-1, 2.25) (if necessary)
Game 5 Chris Buglovsky (4-5, 4.24) vs. Mike Meyers (7-4, 5.31) (if necessary)

The two teams located furthest from each other in the PCL…

B-Liv and Moss may swap rotation slots, depending on how Moss feels Monday after being used in relief on Saturday night.

It’s gonna be Livingston – Foppert – Moss – TBA – TBA…. should be a great series; Tacoma took 3 of 4 from Nashville when the Sounds had Weeks, Fielder, Hart, and Capellan back in May…. of course, the Rainiers had Snelling, Strong, Morse, Felix, Campillo etc….

The best thing about the previous Nash-Tac series was that Pat Borders was with Nashville. The M’s acquired him while the Sounds were in flight to Tacoma. Borders arrived in the visiting clubhouse at Cheney, slung his baseball bag over his shoulder, and strolled accross the field to the Tacoma clubhouse. He took BP with the Rainiers – while wearing his Sounds pants, which he refused to change ‘cuz he liked them – BBQ’d some steaks after the game, slept overnight in the Rainiers clubhouse, and reported to Seattle the next day. If you don’t like Pat Borders, you don’t like baseball.

Sweet, sweet win for Tacoma. I can’t say enough good things about Dan Rohn: is this guy ever going to get the chance in the Bigs??

Asdrubal Cabrera has been tearing it up for Tackytown. I’m really looking forward to his time with the Ms when it comes; about the end of next year, evidently.

I wonder how much Wiki Gonzalez enjoys earning his $2.25 million salary down in Tacoma? I, personally, would rather play for the Rainiers instead of the Seattle Mariners.

Ahhh, I was down for a couple of those Sounds-R’s games in May, telling my son to pay attention to Weeks and Fielder in particular because they wouldn’t be long for AAA (was right about that). The Rainiers looked damn good that series. And I’ll be down next weekend, hoping they look as good again.

    Great story about Borders, Mike.
