Rainiers Gamecast

Want to follow the Rainiers as they play Nashville for the PCL title, but can’t listen to broadcaster extraordinaire Mike Curto? Minor League Baseball is offering a gamecast of the playoff series, pitch by pitch. Pretty sweet.
Enjoy.

Hey — you can listen to Wisconsin AND Gamecast the T-Town game at the same time. Come 7-ish, you can probably add the M’s game in gamecast…
Three consecutive Livingston HRs. Man oh man.
Sacrifice bunt by the Rainiers in the top of the 1st with a man at 2nd! Is Bob Melvin managing the Rainiers??
Livingston’s given up 5 home runs in the game. That’s one for each inning he’s pitched.
Eight home runs thus far. Are we sure they’re in Nashville? Sounds like Coors Field.

Yeah, but you know, four of ’em were solo shots. Ron sez those don’t hurt you that much.
This is depressing. Yet for some inexplicable reason I feel more frustrated with the offense, which has actually done decently getting 5 runs so far and trying to keep within reach, than the pitching.
As for all the HRs, in the first inning or so Curto tried to claim this was a pretty fair park, not giving the edge to either the pitchers or hitters. I believe he has since retracted that statement.
No game thread for Game 2 (can’t blame USSM for that — these Rainiers threads haven’t drawn a whole lot of interest), but things don’t look good. Rainiers are down 7-2 (oops, on their 4th error of the game, it just became 9-2). Looks like they’ll have to pull of the same trick they did against the Rivercats, though this time at home (glad I got tix for Friday instead of figuring Saturday or Sunday would be safe).
