Game 38, Mariners at Angels
DMZ · May 13, 2006 at 5:59 pm · Filed Under Mariners
What a great day in Seattle. I got up early and knocked off a fairly huge bike ride, came back, ate some pizza, worked on the book a little, and now, Jarrod Washburn vs John Lackey at 7:05 (KSTW). Remember, Jarrod gets mad when he pitches against the old club, and that means a quality performance!
But wait… MLB’s preview tells me “This will be Washburn’s first meeting against his former team.” It will? Really? Not April 5th?

“Dapper Don.”
“Dabba” Don. As in Yabba Dabba Doo.
These Mariners guys always make things interesting…
Of course, it couldn’t be easy could it?
Erp.
441.- I think we got to 600 last year
You know, all of those prom references were amusing me because we just went out to dinner and the table next to us was about 20 people doing a group prom.
The kids tried to short their bill by $25…
Salmon should be walked here.
Or not.
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!
1-0 in 13 inning games.
BALLGAME!
MVP: David J. Corcoran, because without his prom dates I wouldn’t have lasted through the fourth inning.
I wan’t to see Vlad swing so hard one day that the ball becomes imbedded in the bat.
That game was as exhausting as going to prom with two dates, or so I’d imagine
whew
Okay, that was posted slow, go Mariners!
A one run win! I hope Meche can go a lot of innings tomorrow.
OHH willya lookat that? Big freakin’ condor flying by dropped outta the sky stone dead, and fell *splatttt* right on the mound. Looks kinda likea ‘W’ lyin’ there. Do we pray for this sign from above, or call the Public Health Dept.? Votes: (P) Pray; (S) Stink.
Good night everyone, thanks for the great thread.

If Corcoran is still here… did you leave any on base?
nope
wait…yes! both of them!
OK, I’m off like a prom dress. Night all.
Corco *hahahahah* yah’d better get it straight, ’cause this is a public thread and they’ll compare notes on you.
Corco already blogged the whole thing, and since they’re both avid Corco-blog readers, that’s not an issue.
I’ll wager that Appier couldn’t be happier tomorrow. He’s probably already gotten the telephone call. And they’ll need him.
Wow… That was amazing. I ended up “watching” most of it from my cell phone because I had to run the weekly movie series at my school. It’s amazing how much suspense can build up when it sits there for 5 minutes without anything and then suddenly there’s two outs. Stupid ESPN…
Man, they are playing the audio on the “Bedrock” call by Rizzs on ESPNews. It’s almost embarrassing.
And you know what?: Sexson _is_ a redhead. I’d forgotten that. : )
Memories of the JC-o-tronic, a return to Corco-love, did the 2005 season ever end?
Never.
