Game 72, Marlins at Mariners

A game thread! Remember those?
Tucker v Dickey. 7:10. I’m sure all the lineup problems will be worked out.
Update: Yup! The worst hitter in the AL has been moved out of the three spot. Problem solved!

I like how McLaren played this so that we now have a righty-righty situation instead of a lefty lefty situation when the lefty was the better hitter. A smart baseball move there.
Just came from the ball park – mixed bag of emotions here.
Mainly: Depression.
It was nice to see Reed play well and it was refreshing to see Clement behind the dish.
This game was like watching paint dry.
edgar for mayor: Amazing how we just can’t start shrugging off the absence of logic, eh?
Grit-tay
Folks, we have ignition……
Well I guess that’s why Mac is the big league manager and I’m the fan. I don’t know why I doubted him.
I totally get to take credit for calling that. Right?
Reed’s BA is .296….not .300, Mr. Valle.
Valle’s used to rounding up batting averages.
“Yeah, baby, I’m a .200 hitter…”
Aye, I haven’t given up my brain just yet.
Not to worry folks, if we get 7 singles in a row next inning we can win this.
109 –
That is hilarious.
Question: Pete O’Brien or Richie Sexson?
Sexson, please DFA ASAP. I can’t look at you any longer.
Someone call up Bucky Jacobsen..I need a reason to keep watching these guys…
*sigh*
Beltre!!
Now we need 8 singles.
What sluggers do with meatballs down the middle.
Atta boy Corky!
Richie Needs to go back to the backstreet boys look.
Valle: “but” as a conjunction draws a contrast.
Correct: “Dave Valle was a horrible hitter but played decent defense”
and not a synonym for “and”
Incorrect: “Dave Valle was a bad catcher but a bad color man on broadcasts.”
Everytime Richie Sexson has a cold sore he plays well…not kidding.
Seattle Mariners 2008
and I wish we had Oscar Gamble
At least Barry didn’t come and wreck the chemistry
I just want to laugh.
*Health up*
And. the apocalypse is now upon us.
Sexson is a bad hitter but plays a bad first base.
I’m pretty sure Vidro singling is a bad thing.
Someone should do a study on the Mariners BMI. Our pitchers, especially. That, and Vidro’s neck-chins.
All the talent lies with the Herpes virus.
WOOT OFF!!!!!
And now back to the crappy game already in progress.
Seattle Mariners: Hindsight (I promise this is the best one).
Sigh
Game’s over, the spec I’ve been working on all day is complete… that’s a day.
This team is ass.
I had surgery yesterday. Less painful than being a mariners fan.
And doctors prescribe painkillers for surgery. I use them for games.
Mmm… painkillers
129: HAH
Hey check out Kruger’s tie. That’s something.
129-Great. Mariners mission statement?
Hey how about a drink every time Bill K says “professional hitter”
Also something: Kruger’s crazy rant about Ibanez, who is a run producer, a professional hitter, and steady, which like all players, he’s really not. Whatever, I’m sure it’s hard to fill that air time.
B-R only wants $65 per year to sponsor Sexson’s page. You have to figure that is a bargain for all the hits it’ll get when he is DFA’s.
Hey but the Angels and Oakland lost today so that is something.
Kruger – Chipper has never been a guy that hits for average. Hmmmm… Career average .310 OPS .956.
That’s great research Billy.
Think he’s been infected by the great knowledge of stats that’s insinuated itself throughout the Mariners’ organization…
Correct: “Dave Valle was a bad catcher but a worse color man on broadcasts.â€
Oh, how I’d love to read Derek’s rant on rally fries. Hint, please? Is it Bugs Bunny-esque?
Valle is so bad as a color man that when Kenji is doing it in ten years IN Japanese it will make more sense.
And while I’m here, Cairo starting for Valle is about the only situation where starting Cairo makes sense.
