15-day though, and they can start the counter the day after his last start, so not so bad.

I think I’m relieved. This way he can’t get in trouble by pitching gimpy and strain his arm.
The rotation:
Bedard
Washburn
Silva
Batista
Dickey
Yeck…
You think the rotation’s bad news, put it with an offense so horrible that the fact your $14 million a year “slugger” managed 2 singles is worth a headline in the Seattle Times? (dead tree edition, page C6)
And this from Manger Jim Riggleman, indicating he has been working inside a sensory deprivation tank for the last year:
“Sooooomedaaaay, my Priiiiiiince will come…”
“The sun will come out, tomorrow…”
“in a little while, just a little while …”
“Somewhere out there…”
Pitching staff question:
On the FSN post-game show last night, R.A. Dickey was interviewed.
He made a comment that hitters were just getting a little piece of the knuckleball, and not getting any big hits from off him.
He said “I’d be interested in knowing slugging percentage against individual pitchers. But I don’t know if they even keep a stat like that.” (“they?”)
Isn’t this stat right on the Mariners website, or am I reading the abbreviations incorrectly?
Who’d have thought there was such a number of Broadway-Musical-lovers on this site?
Made me laugh.

Me too. Let DIZZY DEAN remain the poster boy for those declines that are caused by changing one’s delivery to compensate for an injury to another part of the body.
I’ll gladly give up a couple of FELIX starts while I wait for him to come back completely healthy.
7: They’ll probably take it down now. I mean, they don’t want everyone to think they’re a bunch of nerdy guys with computers…
It’s hard to shake the feeling that baseball is a sport where the foundation stone of excellence, from the playing field to the highest level of corporate management, is at least pretending to be dumber than dog doody.
The Mariners are in last place in large part because their management is composed of people using stone age tools to compete with other tribes that have not only fire and metal, but electricity as well.
I get the mental image of the Marniner FO as that tribe in Brazil (recently in the news) brandishing spears at a helicopter.
I was actually hoping that Dickey would get blown up early in the game yesterday and the M’s would have to go throgh about 4 relievers. Then they would have no choice but to cut regular Vidro and bring up someone from the minors, like what happened to Beak.
Be careful what you wish for. Instead of cutting someone useless (Vidro, Cairo) they would probably DFA someone like Green.
Not much to do over the 2 weeks except watch Ichiro!.
Ho-Hum.
