Eveland versus the Bus.
Number of starts Bus has had this season as good as RRS’ last: one, maybe two (July 27th, then pick ’em)
Number of starts Bus has had this season as good as Feirabend’s last one: nine? ten?

I’ve gone and read his bio on Wiki and everything… I know who Walter Brennan was.
it was just a random Simsism after Joey Devine came up to bat last night — I assume because there just aren’t that many Devines in the public eye…
Phew thanks. I didn’t hear it cuz I was acually at the game. Fair few devines back in the old country yet.
Official silver lining to this game:
Through Jarrod Washburn, we may have finally driven a stake all the way through the myth of the “quality start.”
Wait, I did see the end of the Mexico/Japan game! The fireballer came in to close, and took a comebacker off his ankle–or was in the knee? Apparently he’d been struck on the leg in another game too. He looked in agony, but kept pitching and they won. His coach was flinging him up in the air, but his face was still crunched up in pain and he limped off. We’ll see what happens in the final!

According to espn, our starters haven’t won a game in august.
I knew we were bad but that surprised me.
I hadn’t been to a game in a while until tonight.
wow.
I’ll add this minor point to the firmament of discussion: watching the people on the bus ride to game was more interesting than watching the game.
What matters is we didn’t lose any ground in the Strasburg race.
Sorry, please let me add one more grain of sarcasm…
My son asked me who was playing, and then who was pitching. Then he said, “Uh, sorry dad, no. I have summer math homework.”
So much for that family fun the FO so values; hence my ride alone on the bus.
Your kid is has more baseball savvy than the entire M’s FO.
