Hey, cool. It would be nice to have a little more notice, but I assume these will be available down the page under the “Brock and Salk” heading on their past shows page a day or so after they happen?
I really dis-like Brock….but I’ll listen for Dave!
Sweet!
I am stuck at school, anyone have a recap? Thanks in advance.
Really good segment. I can tell you the name of someone who Dave didn’t mention but I don’t want to get booted.
@Go Felix….
I didn’t even want to bring that up….DMZ has put the fear in us…
Good job Dave. I agree with what was basically a summary of your posts on that game.
Ah yes. Now that the tones from Dave Cameron’s melodious pipes are drifting across the air waves it is officially baseball season.
I can tell you the name of someone who Dave didn’t mention but I don’t want to get booted.
That is probably because…
DMZ has put the fear in us…
apparently even Dave…
nice work, Dave. I was also somewhat impressed by the host. Even if he came across as a little to accusatory on Morrow, he at least seems dedicated to learning as much as possible about the mariners.
and I just found out about it, as Huard referenced Dave on Morrow.
Is this going to be archived somewhere at some point? I hope?
Yeah, they (usually) get archived. But last year it often take them a couple of days to put it up.
Also, while the radio spots are neat to hear, and awesome pub for the blog, they usually boil down to a summary of Dave’s last 3-4 posts. So, if you are a regular reader then you probably don’t have to tear your hair out if you miss the live broadcast.
Well, last year was a completely different radio station / media empire, so I don’t know that I would go by that. See the link in the first comment — you’ll have to scroll down “Brock and Salk”…. and then you may have to wait a bit, because they don’t seem to have the first hours up there quite yet (though the “Dave Ross” shows from this morning are already up, so they may be up not long after their show ends at 3).
And while it’s true they rarely touch on things that Dave didn’t already mention in one of his posts, it is pretty neat to hear him roll out stats off the top of his head at hyperkinetic speeds.
Yeah I’ve heard it before and I more or less just like to hear the things I read said out loud.
@ Joser – Good point, most of his stuff last year was with KJR. I guess that probably makes a difference 😉
The SPs going tonight have relative ability that is, in my approximation, inversely proportional to their relative weights (yes, Slowey really is at least twice as good as Fats, even if most people don’t realize it yet). Tonight will be a real challenge.
The really weird thing (IMO) about Slowey: his #3 comparable is Nick Blackburn, last night’s starter. How often do you see that in a rotation?
The good news about that: the M’s were able to do some damage against Blackburn, so hopefully they can shake off the ending and do more of the same tonight. Hey, it’s like last night was batting practice for tonight! You know, like it didn’t count!
Now here’s my dilemma:
I want to watch baseball.
I don’t want to watch Silva.
Have you guys (Dave & Derek) ever considered podcasting?
