Game 55, Twins at Mariners

Liriano v Felix.
Sweeney at DH! Yessss! Batting 4th! Yessss!
On the other hand, Cedeno gets back in, so he’ll have a shot at redeeming his generally disappointing performances. It’d be nice to see him get back into the infield rotation.

That one’s on Wak. Balentien had just come thru the batting order and the Twins were obviously trying to hit the ball out to left. They did. It worked. Chavez should have been out there
a guy hitting .180 got a double against balentien…. sigh
Sorry, I shouldn’t say killing the momentum, killing the excitement/hope.
PH Griffey?
2 horrible judgements by Wlad that inning. I don’t even blame Wak for not putting in Endy. Wlad simply screwed those up.
Why pinch hit for Franklin…but not Cedeno…confusing
You know what this is? It’s all a big lead-up to an Ichiro game winning HR with two outs.
Yep, that’s what it is.
@naviomelo WIN
Actually, I guess it would have to be one out.
I was just thinking the same thing about that bobblehead ad, wabbles. It tops that freaky one with the gay troll hitting on…Ichiro’s bobblehead? The bad gay stereotype voice scares me so much I can’t focus on whatever player is being poorly reproduced as a bobblehead.
At least get a hit so there’s something to take away from this game, Ichiro
Nathan’s nickname should be motoboat…the way he motorboats his lips while on the mound
peace out ichiro hit streak…
Boo. I’m burning my Wlad bobblehead in protest.
Bummer.
Nathan has Tourette’s, which is why he motorboats like that, and bobs his head constantly.
Well, the M’s aren’t quite to the level of the 1962 Mets yet, but…
I just got home. Am I watching a replay? (bottom of the 9th, Aardsma pitching with 2 down)
Has Ichiro! gotten any hits?
OOPS!
That was the top of the 9th. Sorry.
5th: Balentien hits a ground-rule double to left
According to JoeGeema he should have been given 3rd base when the OF dropped the ball in the stands? This was missed by 4 umps, 1 M’s mgr and 2 FOX announcers
Had Lou -whose rule book knowledge is legendary–been at the helm, he would have educated the umpires, and Balentien would have been awarded third base.
