They’ve told the story twice in the game, Liam, so they seem to like it.
Going by the series preview over at lookoutlanding, Oakland is the better overall team by far.
Seattle beating Oakland in two sports at once by a combined score of 20-10! Now which Josh Wilson is back to catch punts?
Come to think of it, the ‘Hawks played the Chiefs last weekend while the M’s were playing the Royals…crazy!
Does Carp run slower than Branyan?
What’s with the regular George of the Jungle whoops out of the stands tonight? A regular Bay area peculiarity or something special for the Mariners? If anyone knows.
The typical primal chants of cro-mag A’s fans, perhaps?
I haven’t noticed, how sad is that?
There’s that guy with the big horn that sounds for of like an angry yak…is it that guy?
It isn’t George of the jungle, it’s like that old disco noise– ahhoohh ahhhooohhh
No idea, knowing less about angry yak noises even than George of the Jungle noises. It’s clearly one person or noise-maker and comes through quite clearly during the (relatively frequent) quiet moments in the game.
Don’t know if it’s the same guys or not, but there used to be a couple of dudes down there who wore Blues Brothers sunglasses and would stand around blowing those stupid plastic horns the whole game like they were in a Ricola cough drop ad or something.
It’s a like a six foot long horn, so it makes just one long note. Does George of the Jungle sound like Tarzan?
(How exciting is this game?)
Hannahan is running for Carp, so I guess he did look slow on his double.
September far from the madding pennant race. You have to love baseball to watch this. I love baseball.
It wasn’t long ago that someone was lamenting our inability to win 7-4 games.
The squeeze!!! Well it surprised me!
Wouldn’t you know it…the M’s finally get a season where they manage to beat up the A’s on a fairly regular basis — but then wind up finishing about 47 games behind the Angels, anyway.
Aardsma was going to throw a nice 5 pitch inning and then Lopez boots it.
Flashing back to Hall’s fine play at second yesterday….
Oh, and right, they were going to tie their record of errorless games.
Well, thanks again for your oh-so-stellar defense, J-Lo…
Nice comeback for the K and the wrap there, Aardsma!
The same Ian Snell who pitched the USS Mariner game at Safeco comes out today, and yet we still win. Amazin’.
